Just Opened a Bank of Internet 2.50% Savings Account

bofilogo

Just opened an Advantage Savings account at Bank of Internet today that’s currently paying an astounding 2.50% (yes, it may not sound high, but it’s one of the highest rates I’ve seen lately). I’ll have a proper review sooner rather than later.

2.50% is a fantastic rate in today’s economy. Well done — that’s more like a CD rate than a bank account. With inflation going up maybe we’ll see some larger interest rates in the future, they can’t get much lower!

WOW! I don’t know how is in USA, but in Bulgaria(Europe) the rate is about 5% and it depends on how much money you save.

That sounds like a pretty good interest rate for a bank account, but it is disappointing to hear that the rate is quickly dropping. Hopefully they aren’t just using low rates to attract customers and then switching rates once the customer base builds up.
