Did They Say That? Lack of Money is…

“Lack of money is the root of all evil.”
George Bernard Shaw
Ha, ha! The love of money is really the root of all evil, but it may feel like the lack of money is the root of all evil. I’m sure that having money is great, but there are plenty of rich people who are miserable. It all depends on your paradigm (the lens through which you view life).

I would say that money is a tool. It can be used for good… or it can lead to the dark side. Whether you have it or not, it is when you let your love of, and desire for it, control you that you become completely lost.

I agree with you, Jason. Money is not in itself good or bad. It’s how people use it. Just like a hammer can be used to build something or tear it down, money can be used to help or hurt people.

I agree. It depends on how you use the money. Money is also a tool for spreading the good news and to do the works for the ministry of God.

I really think it is based on the person because you can have love making money, just like some love cooking, cars, sports etc. Many people think the love for money is bad, but many rich people love making money just like Kobe Bryant loves playing basketball. It’s like a game to them and the bank account is the score board.
As christian I think as long we know who we love more, it’s okay. My blog I started actually talks about financial success.
