7 There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;

And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.

rich…nothing: The paradox of greed causing poverty, and of generosity causing wealth, is a recurring theme in Scripture (see 11:24; Matt. 6:19-21). The point is not how much money you have, but what you do with it.
