(Mark 11:24)(KJV) The keyword here is DESIRE...God wants us to have our desires...that is why in all sense we should be careful what we pray for because if we believe enough and receive it we will definitely get it.... The thing is believing enough that we receive involves us using our faith which is a 'doing word' so when we pray we must live like we already have that thing by doing things about it, we must not sit down, pray and expect something to happen when we don't do anything. Obviously there may be situations where by all we can do is pray but in most situations e.g "God I want a job in this field that pays at least this much" one is required to go out a search for the job you never know it may even come by being in the right place at (favour, divine intervention) but we never stop moving even if we don't get what we want we keep going and asking God is this for me Lord because even along the way God can make us stumble upon something much greater than our desires: 'Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us' (Ephesians 3:20)(KJV) But I do agree that it serves us best to pray alongside the will of God in our lives...but even if we don't we may still get what we pray for.
