I believe that anyone in America who has the drive, passion, and are willing to work hard can and will succeed.

Ask any millionaire or billionaire today whether or not laziness or not working hard got them to where they are. I can guarantee you that most successful people today get there because of hard work.

I agree with you that many of the working poor work very hard. However, this verse is not talking about the poor. It's talking about people who want to get rich quick and aren't willing to put in the hard work. The best way to get rich quick is to not get rich quick. Remember, these are not my words. Theses are straight out of your Bible. God bless!

Everyone works hard where I work (we did have one slacker weho didn't last) and we're all paid within 20 cents of minimum wage. Probably most of the working poor work hard. So much for hard work leading to prosperity!
