Verse of the Day: Preachers Should Live From the Gospel

14 Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

1 Corinthians 9:14 (NKJV)

Isn’t this an interesting verse? It says that “those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.” So in others words, preachers should be in full-time ministry, not part-time ministry. Now I’m in no way a pastor or a preacher; I’m just a Christian with a view. But I believe that preachers should be living off the tithe and offering of the church. Not all of it, but they should be compensated for the Lord’s work in some way. I don’t like it when I hear about so many pastors who are struggling and just barely making it.

They have such a huge spiritual responsibility and they shouldn’t have to struggle. They are responsible for our spiritual well-being. Just remember that next time you give in church. You’re giving to God, and He will bless you for it!
